Seasons 8 and 9 of the beloved NBC comedy were missing the key ingredient for its success: Michael Scott. Quite frankly, after Steve Carell exited the sitcom, the revolving door of new bosses and the ever-in-flux dynamics brought enough unwanted changes to the show. Despite having the same setting, comedic style, and character quirks, the deep void of losing Michael Scott was too vast to ignore.
