Activists from the Black Lives Matter campaign have held a new protest in the U-S against police brutality which mainly targets people of color, most particularly African Americans. 
The protesters took to the streets of Chicago after mayor Rahm Emmanuel apologized for the killing of 17-year-old Laquan McDonald in 2014. They called on Emmanuel to resign. The unarmed teenage boy died in a hail of bullets fired by cops. A number of black citizens have been killed by police across the U-S over the past couple of years. The killings have sparked numerous protest rallies. Black Lives Matter campaign was launched by demonstrators who say they are determined to make their voices heard by US authorities.
